My promise and mission
My Core Values
Guiding principles that drive my passion for the outdoors, adventure sports, and knowledge sharing.
Honesty
Edited videos on social media tend not to tell you the full story. Climbing mountains is hard. Crashing and falling hurts. Doing something new and inherently high risk is scary. Being a beginner amongst people who are not can feel embarrassing and demoralizing. I will share the truth of what many people in the outdoor world feel, but don’t talk about openly.
Humility
I believe the world would benefit greatly from less people pretending to be experts, instead of owning what they don’t know. I’m not expert – in many ways I’m still a beginner. Just like many of you will be. Being a beginner does not exclude us from participating in the activities we feel called to. It’s just the first step we need to overcome.
Perseverance
I don’t progress without struggle. In fact, I’m known to throw some impressive adult tantrums and often threaten to give up along the way. And yet, I find myself persevering relentlessly until I eventually get to the place I want to be. It’s often not pretty, but I’ve found that pushing through fear and doubt can reap incredible results if you continue to stick with it.
