In this article, I am listing all the gear and its relevant technical specifications that I currently use for both enduro and downhill mountain biking. It does not include my thoughts or reviews on any of my items, nor what to look for when shopping for yourself – that will all come later, I promise!
I know, you’re probably feeling totally overwhelmed and I’m not helping. You might be asking, “what do the components mean? What do all these numbers mean? How on earth am I supposed to understand any of these technical specs??” Trust me, I get it. I’m several years into the sport and I’m only now just beginning to understand what it all means.
For now, I’m listing all the gear that I currently use and some of the relevant specifications for the tires, suspension, and drivetrain. If you treat it like the science section on the ACT and SAT tests where you draw conclusions based on numbers in a chart, it might help you at least have idea what range of specs to look for 😉
In the meantime, comment below with any questions that you have. It will help me in writing future articles that actually will help you with the information you’re looking for.
